


	30 years of public service to the citizens of Charles County Clerk of the Court Sharon "Sherri" Hancock I was hired in 1980, by the former Clerk of the Court, Richard A. Day, III and have worked in various departments throughout the Judiciary in Charles County. Appointed as Chief Deputy Clerk May 2003. I was unanimously appointed to the position of Clerk by the Honorable Robert C. Nalley, Steven G. Chappelle, Christopher C. Henderson and Amy J. Bragunier on September 21, 2005 after the passing of Mr. Day. Elected to Served the Citizens of Charles County as Clerk of Court on November 2, 2006 I am the daughter of Donald L. Poole, Sr. and Catherine (Snookie Bowling) Poole and daughter in law of Harold Lee Hancock and Norma Ann (Mc Donaugh) Hancock. I am married to Michael Hancock Sr. and live in La Plata. We have two children and one granddaughter, of whom I am very proud. Our oldest son, followed in the footsteps of his Grandfather Donald L. Poole and Great Uncle William D. Poole by serving our community as a Deputy Sheriff. Our youngest son Justin is an honor student at La Plata High School and aspires to pursue a career in classical music.
